Richard Godin, CFPIM CIRM, CSCP is a business engineer/consultant/educator specializing in assisting companies attain and maintain a competitive edge in operations management and personal skills improvement. Prior to forming “Improvement Is People” in 1991 he spent over 20 years working as a consultant, materials manager, and project manager. He has taught a full range of APICS (The Education Society for Resource Management) CPIM (Production and Inventory Management) and CIRM (Integrated Resource Management) courses. He has also taught numerous courses at DePaul University and Northwestern University (operations management, operations strategy, process design and control, production and inventory management, financial issues for engineers), and custom programs (quality management, JIT, personal skills, etc.) for a wide range of organizations. He has served as President of APICS-Chicago Chapter and region education VP. He is currently serving as an APICS Workshop instructor at National level.

Rich has worked with a wide range of manufacturers, distributors, retailers, utilities and software providers ranging from large to small, job shop batch to process flow in industries ranging from assembly, electronics, food processing, metal processing etc. Companies include a Baldrige and JIT honor winner.
